Giverny: Nature and Landscapes and the Future of the Humanities

As we know art has changed in parallel with society. It is hard to know which one affects the other in order to provoke an evolution. However, we cannot deny that ourselves as individuals, we get influenced by art. It would not be surprising if today’s art is about solving the mystery of what is going to happened with the world in the subsequent years or about how to prevent it.

After going to Paris I realized that art is a key to understand society. Hence, art and history should be taught in the same course as we did in the culture class. Also, in order to understand our present we have to look back to the past to find out why we are here. I regret the fact that I did not knew so much about art before. It is sad to not get involve with it before. I do not blame my high school or even my elementary school but students should know what was and is going on over the world and art is a way to learn it.

Post-post-modernism stands for giving voice to nature, poverty and equality. Hence, we can conclude we are facing a crisis in those fields. The main issue in the actuality is the ecological one. We have to see the earth as our home and thing about how to clean it from our own acts.

As individuals we have to ask ourselves what is going to be our contribution. As a business major I prefer to support ecological projects, in fact I think we have to look in our already used objects and start creating from them as recycling does. Economists study how to get the best distribution of resources, but it seems like they supports the waste of resources in order to expend the economy. Maybe we have to look at our garbage to find out materials to recreate objects.
